Growing in stature, growing in confidence and growing her all-round game, 'Livs' was the H&L Construction Solutions Ltd Player of the Match trophy on Saturday 8th February, as her LGDA U14 Fire team progressed through to the HGFPL U14 Senior Shield Final.

A dominating display in the centre of midfield, she covered so much ground throughout the game. Helping her defence and then bursting forwards to create attacking plays. A display that was worthy of a special goal, and Livs delivered. Picking up the ball in the middle of the pitch, she drove forwards beating two players, cut inside a defender in the box and then curled a sweet strike into the far corner.

With a perfect Captain's performance, she led the team throughout the game with her confidence, strength & recovery runs to stop the opposition. When recovering the ball, her districution out to her team mates was excellent as well. A performance to be truly proud of. Leading from the back and ensuring all her team mates are encouraged and looked after.
Defending at times can be an art. Having the ability to read the game and stop the opponents whilst protecting your goalkeeper is just as important as hitting the back of the net at the other end. New U14 Signings Settling In
With the step up to 11v11 format for this season, our U14 squad was strengthened in the summer with two new signings for 2024/2025. Both players have joined the club and had no problem fitting in with the team ethics and spirit that already exists. Adding quality to a forever improving and developing squad. they have come in and made a telling contribution already.
​
Amelia began training with the squad on a Thursday in March, and officially signed from Denham Utd Ladies once the previous season had completed. A versatile player who is comfortable in defence, midfield or attack, Amelia is going to be a great player in the future. She made her presence felt two weeks ago in her side's away fixture to Stevenage Starlets, scoring four goals in the game from central midfield.
​
Millie was our late 'deadline day' signing, as she transferred over from Kings Langley FC. Also previously with Evergreen Youth Girls, she is another talented midfielder who is comfortable on the ball with both feet and has an eye for goal. This was evident on Saturday after scoring on her Home debut against Hemel Aces, coming off the bench to get herself on the scoresheet with a left-foot strike.

We hope that both players enjoy a successful season with the club and the U14's, and continue their journey with LGDA FC for years to come.​​​
